Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Written Exam or CWE every year to select candidates for the clerical cadre posts in public sector banks. One who wishes to join any of the participating organisations is required to register for the CRP. IBPS Clerk 2020: Eligibility Criteria Nationality One should be one of the following: 1. Citizen of India 2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan 3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement 4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor. Educational Qualification Graduation Degree is a must from a University recognized by the Government of India. Knowledge of computer operation is a must as the exam is conducted online. One should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. One should be able to read, write and speak the language Age Eligibility: (As on 01.09.2020): Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years Age Relaxation Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) 5 years Other Backward Classes (OBC None -Creamy Layer) 3 years Persons with Disabilities (PWD) 10 years Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Serviceman The actual period of service rendered in the defense forces +3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years Widows/Divorced Women 9 years Persons with Domicile of Jammu &Kashmir during the period of 1-1-1980 to 31-12-1989 5 years Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years Regular Employees of Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (for MP state only) 5 years IBPS Clerk 2020 Recruitment The recruitment process of IBPS Clerk CWE occurs in two phases: 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Mains Examination One needs to qualify both these exams to get selected for the post of clerical cadre in most of the premier Public Sector Banks. There is no interview process required for the selection of candidate after the mains exam. 100% weightage is given to the result of mains exam result. |
