The Graduate Record Examination is a standardized required for most graduate schools in the United States The test score is accepted at thousand of business schools as well as departments within these schools. Eligibility Criteria : Graduate and business school students who are interested in pursuing a master's, specialized master's in business MBA or doctoral degree take the GRE revised General Test. Graduate Record Examination is of two types-- GRE General Test an analyzes quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and critical thinking and analytical writing skills. GRE Subject Test gauges undergraduate in 8 specific fields of study. Test Syllabus The main contents of the syllabus of the GRE test are: Verbal Reasoning Section comprises 7 Analogy questions, 8 Reading Comprehension questions and 6 Sentence Completion questions 9 Antonym questions. Quantitative Reasoning Section comprises 14 quantitative comparison questions. 14 problem solving questions The duration of the two tasks --1 hour and 15 minutes. The objective type questions in the GRE test starts from the third section. The third section -30 minutes - 30 questions verbal section Fourth section is a 45 minutes - 28 questions Quantitative section. The GRE Verbal section comprises about 7 Analogy questions, 6 Sentence Completion questions, 8 Reading Comprehension questions and 9 Antonym questions. The GRE Quantitative section comprises 28 questions. Analytical Writing Ability-- It tests the ability to analyze issues as well as the writing ability through 2 essays. Exam dates:- The test can be taken once every 21 days and upto five times . Test scores are valid upto a period of five years . |
