WB TET (West Bengal Primary Teachers Eligibility Test) is a state-level exam conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education under the guidelines of the Department of School Education, West Bengal. It is designed for the recruitment of primary teachers for Class I – V and upper primary teachers for Class VI-VIII.

WB TET Eligibility

WBTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class I to V)

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (D EI Ed)
Or

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B EI Ed)
Or

Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Or

Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D EI Ed)


WBTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class VI to VIII)

One must have cleared the BSc/BA or equivalent education

One must have cleared the B Ed/Secondary education exam with minimum 50% marks

Qualified the final four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B EI Ed)

Appearing in final two years BSc/ BA/ Diploma in Education and clear the exam with at least 45% marks
