Here I am providing important rules of TET Exam of West Bengal School Service Commission for your reference:

Eligibility:

Citizenship: Only Indian

Candidate should satisfy himself/herself about his/her eligibility before applying and shall be personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria.

Minimum Education:
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks as per relaxation given by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of School Education and Literacy)

Reservation Policy
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH)

Minimum qualifications referred above apply to teachers of Languages, Social Studies, Mathematics & Science.

Examination Structure
Paper Name Full Marks Question Type
i)Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory). 30 30 MCQs
ii)Language I (compulsory) . 30 30 MCQs
iii)Language II (compulsory). 30 30 MCQs
iv)(a)For Mathematics and Science Teacher: Mathematics and Science –60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(b) For Social Studies Teacher : Social Studies –60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(c) For Any Other Teacher –either (a) or (b) 60 60 MCQs

Duration of Exam: 1hour and 30 minutes

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Who scores 60% or more in the TET examination will be considered as TET pass.
