The Indian Maritime University is a Central University, that was setup in Movember 2008. It is the only university in the country imparting education in the maritime field. It has campuses at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Cochin and Kandla Port that conduct various program for there students.
