Re: WCPSS SAT prep
Wakefield High School is situated on a 110 acre tract in Northern Wake County near the town of Wake Forest. SAT Preparation Free SAT/ ACT Preparation is available to students through online resources available at “.collegeboard.com” and “.actstudent.org” Test prep is available for free also on “.cfnc.org” Juniors who take the PSAT in the fall are encouraged to use the College Quickstart code they receive with their scores in December to access free individualized SAT preparation. Counselors meet with PSAT test takers in December of each year to help them understand their score report and how to use the College QuickStart program. Students can also take "The Official SAT Practice Test" for free- available at the College Board website. SAT and ACT Test Prep is available for FREE through “.cfnc.org.” Set up an account, explore colleges and practice for the tests. SAT exam The SAT is one mechanism used by colleges to determine your readiness for success at their school. This exam has three parts, Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing, and each has a minimum score of 200, with a maximum score of 800. Tests are typically administered on a Saturday morning, and are NOT administered at every high school. You can take the exam as many times as you wish, and most schools will accept your highest individual score in each area. If you want to attend a 4-year college or university that uses the SAT for admission then take it at least twice, once during your junior year and early in senior year.
