WB TET (West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test) is conducted by West Bengal Board of Primary Education conducts for the recruitment of teachers. WBTET is for 2 subcategories of teachers, one for those who are applying for the Primary School Teachers and other category is for Higher Primary Teachers.


WB Primary TET Important Dates 2020
Beginning of the submission of WB TET 2020 application forms Third Week of June 2020
Last day for submitting the WB TET 2020 application forms First Week of July 2020
Release of Admit Card for WB TET 2020 First Week of August 2020
WB TET 2020 Exam Last Week of August 2020
Release of WB TET 2020 Answer Key 2nd Week of September 2020
Announcement of the Results Last week of October 2020


Application Fee

One has to pay Rs.100/- as application fee.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PH) need to pay Rs. 25/- only.
Payment of fee can be paid through online mode like net banking, debit/credit card.
The fee is non-refundable.


West Bengal TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):

One should have obtained minimum 50% marks within the Intermediate test.
One should have completed B.EL.ED or studying within the final year.
One should have completed or within the final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
One should have completed or within the final year of BTC/passed in an institute connected to NCTE.
One must have completed Graduation.

WBTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6th to 8th):

One should have obtained minimum 50% marks within the Intermediate test.
One should have completed B.EL.ED or studying within the final year.
One who is within the final year of B.Ed in an institute connected to NCTE.
One who is within the final year of L.T. in an institute connected to NCTE.
One who is within the final year of B.Ed in an institute connected to RCI.
