Re: Way to IIT Madras
The IIT Madras grounds is situated on the Sardar Patel Road, half-route between the Raj Bhavan and the Adyar transport end, i.e. around 12 kms from Chennai Central. The other points of interest are the Guindy Snake Park adjoining the IIT principle entryway and the Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) campus lying opposite. The travel time from the airplane terminal, railroad stations or Koyambedu transport end is around 45mins From Chennai Central You can reach Saidapet by bus and from there you can travel by bus that goes to Adyar. You get down at CLRI Bus stop which is opposite to IIT Main Gate. You can also reach Adyar Signal by bus and from there you can reach IIT Main Gate. Local Train You can walk down to Park Railway Station which is opposite to the Central Station and take a MRTS (local) train to reach Kasturba Nagar (Adayar) and reach the campus from there by walk. Chennai-Egmore If you arrive at the Chennai Egmore station, you can take 23C to IIT/ CLRI bus stop. From Bus Terminus If you are travelling by bus all along from your town and reach Koyambedu, commonly known as CMBT, from CMBT, you can come to institute by taking city bus T70or by Call-Taxi or Auto. |
