The Institute of Dental Sciences was setup in August 1985, within a sprawling 113 acre campus of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The Institute got off to a flying start under the leadership of late Dr. S.S. Khera as the first Principal.

Duration : 3 year

Eligibility criteria:
Obtaining eligibility certificate from KLE University, Belgaum, before taking admission (In respect of B.D.S. Candidates who have passed from other than Karnataka University)

No candidate shall be admitted for post Graduate course unless the candidate obtains & produces the eligibility certificate issued by the University.
