VIT University Fee Refund

Can you tell me in detail about the Hostel Admission policy and the fee refund policy of VIT University? Provide me the contact detail of VIT University as well?

The detail about the Hostel Admission policy and the fee refund policy of VIT University are as follows:

1. On the day of counseling, one needs to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.21,000/- in favour of “VIT University” payable at Vellore as an advance amount, in order to reserve hostel accommodation.

2. If the hostel advance payment is not made on the day of counseling, the full fees is sent through demand draft directly to the respective Chief Warden

3. Balance hostel fee including mess fee is sent to the respective Chief Warden by way of Demand Draft or pay through online

4. Withdrawal of hostel admission is made in writing to the respective Chief Warden

5. If a room other than first choice is allotted then, the excess amount is refunded or additional amount is collected, as the case may be.

6. Room allotment is confirmed only on receipt of full payment of tuition fees and hostel fees before the stipulated dates.

7. After joining the hostel, if one opts to withdraw hostel admission, hostel fees is refunded within 30 days, after deducting the hostel admission fee and the proportionate hostel rent and mess charges.

8. Room type and room number is displayed on VIT website

9. One needs to compulsorily open a savings bank account either with the Indian Bank, VIT Branch or City Union Bank, VIT Branch. It enables Accounts Department to make refunds directly to their account.

10. One need to report to the hostel only one day before the commencement of the classes as mentioned in the Provisional Admission Letter.

11. One needs to bring the following items at the time of joining the hostel:
Mattress, Pillow, Bed Sheets / Bed Spreads, Bucket, Mug, Two Locks (one for Cupboard and one for the Room). For shared accommodation the room lock should have as many keys as the type of room.
