JD for Senior Analyst:-

Account Payable Specialist performs Accounts Payable duties to include verifying purchases, ensuring invoice approval, entering invoices into accounting software for payment and posting entries to the general ledger. In this position you will issue payments to vendors and balance accounts payable at the end of the month.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices for multiple customers facilities.

Complete data entry and document scanning into workflow management and accounting systems.

Record approved expenses to the appropriate general ledger account and cost centres based on the charge.

Match invoices with approved capital expense request forms.

Reconcile vendor statements.

Sort and distribute accounts payable checks weekly.

Work closely with staff at assigned facilities to confirm details or request additional documentation.

Provide customer service to outside vendors regarding accounts payable matters.

Qualifications and Skill:

Degree or higher preferred.

Must have 3 or more years of Accounts Payable experience.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimum assistance.

Understanding of modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment including automated financial management systems.

Proven capability for effective use of computer systems including spreadsheet, word processing and accounting software.

Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
