Library of Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal has a rich collection of more than 11,851 books and bound journals in print form to pacify the needs of the users. Some of them are very valuable encyclopedias in the field of health & allied sciences which have been obtain for the benefit of the medical fraternity.

It is prearranged with well-furnished reading rooms besides large number of latest text and reference books on all aspects of medical sciences and subscribes to National and International Journals.

Circulation Service: Books are issue and return for users.

Reference Service: It is assist by the Library staff for needs

Inter Library Loan: To require books will transfer to dept library.

Reprographic Service: photocopy of your documents.

Internet facility: Dedicated 22 computer systems were provided for faculty & students access at free of cost. Wi-Fi facility is also made available. Internet Leased Line (ILL) connection with 15Mbps Bandwidth is provided.

CCTV: It is fully covered under surveillance systems to ensure safety of students and its assets.

VMMC & H library has been consistently making efforts to develop a strong collection of learning resources and to provide a human moderated access to knowledge.

Monday – Saturday - 8 AM to 8 PM
Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM
The Library closing time would be extended during Pre University Examination dates. (Schedule months up to 10.00 P.M)

1. Book material

BOOKS
It has a collection of 8910 text books on Medical and allied sciences and 2941 Reference Books. Total number of books available in library is around 11851 books.

JOURNALS
The Library subscribes 36 International and 80 National journals including WHO Global subscription. It also has 116 subscription journals.

BACK VOLUMES
There are about 10755 International and National back volumes of journals.


2. Non - Book materials
It has 130 Thesis/Dissertation collections. An offline question bank from 2005- 2018 is also available on library.


3. E-Resources
It has 100 books, 110 Journals Titles and 300 Nos of CDs / DVDs. It also has access to online database Medline, Pubmed central, NCBI (Free Access) NDL and DelNet.
