To get admission in Under Graduate Engineering course or B Tech course in VIT or Vellore Institute of Technology, you need to clear VITEEE or Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination which is an annual engineering entrance examination conducted by VIT University all over India and abroad.

Eligibility

Candidates are eligible to apply for VITEEE if they fulfill the following requirements:

Nationality – one must be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.

Age Limit – one’s age should not be more than 22 years.

Qualifying Examination – one should have either completed or shall be appearing in qualifying examinations such as CBSE, ICSE or 10+2 system of higher secondary by State boards.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination –
One must score an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination.
One belonging to SC/ST category or hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast India need an aggregate of 50%.

Admission Procedure
Admission is based only on the rank/marks secured by the candidate in VITEEE.

Candidates who do not appear for VITEEE are not eligible for admission at any of its campus.

Candidates are short-listed based on their ranks and are called for counselling.
