Visva-Bharati directs Visva Bharati Common Admission Test for the Under-graduate courses based on +2 standard syllabus. Guidelines to fill the online application form of VBCAT ---- Applicants have to apply through online mode only except B.Ed and M.Ed course. Admit cards to be generated at the University website. Applicants have to report at least one and a half hours before the commencement of admission tests. Application Fees Application fee for first subject is Rs.150/- for SC/ST/PWD applicants and Rs.500/- for all other applicants. For each additional subject and additional application fee of Rs. 75 for SC/ST/PWD applicants and Rs. 200 for all other applicants. As last date to apply is over , please try next year Important Dates : Last date of submission of forms was 15.06.2015 For B.Ed. Visva Bharati Common Admission Test The courses offered are: • M.A. in Education, B.A./B.Sc (Honours) in Physical Education, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, B.Mus ( Bachelor of Music) (Honours) in Rabindra Sangit, Hindusthani Classical Music (Vocal), Hindusthani Classical Music Instrumental (Sitar/ Esraj/ Tabla/ Pakhawaj), Kathakali Dance, Manipuri Dance, Drama and Theatre Arts. M.Mus (Master of Music) in Rabindra Sangit, Hindusthani Classical Music (Vocal), Hindusthani Classical Music Instrumental (Sitar/Esraj/ Tabla/ Pakhawaj), Kathakali and Manipuri Dance, B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany. Eligibility for VBCAT • Applicants of Under Graduation courses are required to pass their Intermediate or equivalent examination from the relevant discipline with aggregate marks as per the official advertisement. • Applicants applying for PG courses must have cleared their Bachelors from the relevant discipline with prescribed aggregate marks as per the official advertisement. • Applicants who wish to apply for certificate courses are required to complete their 10+2 or 10+2+3 as per the requirement. • Applicants must be from India only. Age Limit for VBCAT Applicants applying for VBCAT to pursue UG courses should be 17 to 25 years of age while for PG Courses should be above 22 to 30 years of age. Registration Fees for VBCAT Application fee must be paid through one of the modes that is at Union Banks directly or Net Banking by the applicants. Process of Applying for VBCAT To apply for VBCAT candidates can select one of the three ways and need to follow below process: In Person: • Application forms will be available at Union Banks for sale. • Applicants can buy the application forms at the bank branches by remitting the cost of the application material in cash or demand draft. • Fill the application form with all correct details. • Send the filled in form through registered post to administration office of the university.
