University Science Instrumentation Centre was Established in the Academic year 1992-93

USIC is functioning at Level - I and provides Central Analytical Facility through sophisticated analytical equipment and servicing/repairing facilities for the instruments used for teaching and research in various departments of the University and colleges affiliated to it.

The Centre has also initiated R & D programmes and interaction with industry in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai in the field of Radioisotope Applications in Industry for troubleshooting and process optimization.

The USIC has a Central Analytical Facility consisting of following sophisticated instruments to cater to the needs of researchers in the University and other users from Colleges, Institutes and Industries:

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR)
High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC)
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with Graphite Furnace (AAS)
UV-VIS Spectrophotometer
Ultra-Pure Water Purification System
