Civil Service Exam are conducted every year by its governing authority, i.e., Union Public Service Commission. There are basically three exams which comes under Civil Service Exam, viz, Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS). Nationality: Applicants must be a citizen of India. A citizen of Nepal or subject of Bhutan. Education: Applicants must have a degree from a State, Central or Deemed University, or A degree from Correspondence or distant education, or A degree from an Open University, or Any such qualification recognized by government of India equivalent to any of the mentioned above. Age limit: The lower age limit required for the applicants applying for UPSC Civil Service Exam 2014 is 21 years and upper age limit is 30 years. No. Of attempts: General category applicants and the OBC applicants that fall under Creamy Layer can make four attempts for the exam. OBC category applicants can make seven attempts. Applicants belonging to SC/ ST category can make any number of attempts. |
