UPSC Engineering Services Examination Eligibility

What are the eligibility required for the UPSC Engineering Services Examination, please provide me with a long description?

Following is the UPSC engineering Service Exam eligibility:

(I) Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation.

I am a BSNL employee and I want to appear in UPSC Engineering Services examination so can you please tell me its eligibility criteria and also tell me that Are BSNL employee eligible for age relaxation in it?

No, in UPSC Engineering Services examination there is no relaxation for BSNL employees. Relaxation is provided only for reserved categories


Age-limits:
You must have between 21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.


For SC/ ST upper age limit relaxation is 5 years

For OBC upper age limit relaxation is 3 years


Educational Qualifications
You must have degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
M.Sc or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering
