UPSC Indian Engineering Service (IES) Examination Pattern

UPSC IES Exam selection process consist of two main parts i.e. written exam followed by personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks.

IES Written Examination comprises of two sections—Section I consists only of objective types of questions and Section II of conventional papers. Both Sections covers the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
