UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test) is a state level medical examination for admission to various UG level medical courses offered by many government and private medical colleges in the limits of Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted by the Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, Faizabad. It is one of the most popular examinations among the aspirants of Medical courses. It offers the medical courses as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS programmes. Eligibility One must have cross the minimum age of 17 years on the 31st December of the year of the examination. One must be a permanent resident of the state (Uttar Pradesh) or the candidates who are not permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh but done their study (10th and 12th) from the schools or the board of Uttar Pradesh are also eligible for applying. One must have passed 12th or equivalent examination from a government recognized state/central board with core subjects as Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. Syllabus Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT) will be based on from basics to high level topics taught in Class XI(11th) and Class XII(12th). The paper will have Multiple Choice questions. (From both class XI and XII) To be precise, 60% of the questions will be from class XII and 40% from Class XI. The exam will be on these subjects 1. Physics 2. Chemistry 3. Botany 4. Zoology There will be 50 MCQ questions per subject. (Making the total 200 questions) Exam Pattern • Total duration of the exam will be 3 hours, and there are 200 questions in total. • The paper will have 4 sections (Botany, Physics, Zoology, Chemistry) • Each section will have 50 questions (Objective type MCQ) • The exam will be available in Hindi and English languages, the choice for the preferred language will be available in the application form. |
