UPCPMT is taken by for admission to undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery ,Bachelor of Dental Surgery ,Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ,Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery . Eligibility Criteria Interested Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Interested Applicants must have passed higher secondary examination or Indian certificate examination after a period of 12 years of study. Interested Applicants from the unreserved category must have scored 50% marks in (PCB) and those Interested candidates who belongs from reserved category must have scored 40% Interested Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or any other elective subject. Exam Pattern The duration is 3 hours The paper comprises 4 sections namely Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. Each section will have 50 questions. There are total of 200 questions in the exam . UPCPMT or Uttar Pradesh Combined Premedical Test is a state level medical entrance exam for taking admission in to: MBBS – Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery, BHMS – Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, BAMS – Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, BUMS – Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery The UPCPMT exam will be held in the month of June. UPCPMT exam syllabus includes: Physics Chemistry Botany Zoology Eligibility criteria for UPCPMT Eligibility to UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined premedical test) criterion is given below and it is discussed in much detail. Candidate must be at least 17 years of age. Candidates must be permanent Resident of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who don’t have permanent residence of UP but done 12th/ Intermidiate from schools located in UP will also eligible for apply. Candidates must have passed in 12th/ Intermidiate/ Higher secondary exam from a recognized State/ Central Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subject. Candidates should have a B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English Subjects: You should have physics, chemistry, biology and English as core subjects in 12th class. You should have scored 50% marks in these subjects for the general class candidates and 40% for the SC/ST candidates. UPCPMT Syllabus and Exam Pattern UPCPMT syllabus contains Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The UPMT entrance examination comprises in two papers as one includes the physics and chemistry and second includes the zoology and botany. All subjects carry equal 50 questions. One needs to attempt all 200 objective type questions within three hours. The UPCPMT entrance examination is conducted in both languages as Hindi and English. |
