University of spa and cosmetology arts is a type of private university.

The school’s programs are open to graduates of high school or holders of a GED. Transfer students must also meet these requirements.
Cosmetology is the only program in which transfer hours are accepted. In order to have transfer hours considered for the cosmetology program, an applicant for enrolment must have a completed official transcript of hours and grades from their previous school(s).
Acceptance of cosmetology transfer hours is made on an individual basis, and transfer hours, if accepted, are limited to 600 clock hours (20 credit hours).
