Readers are allowed to borrow books for the whole of the vacation period provided the books have been renewed on time. Automated renewal reminders will be sent to your email address.

Paying fines

If books are not renewed then Library fines will accrue at 20p per book per day which can be paid in person at any of the Bodleian Libraries or online using a credit or debit card through the University Online Store:

The minimum online payment is £2.

If you want to pay all your fines, please check your library record for the amount or contact us at the Issue Desk.

Fines will not automatically be cleared from your account. This can only be done by members of library staff after the automated system has notified them of your payment.
