Can you provide me the details of the admission 2016 for Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Program as offered by University of Mysore?

The University of Mysore offers Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in a wide range of subjects. Selection of candidates is based on entrance test and interview conducted by the university. One who has completed M. Phil course and possess national level fellowships are exempted from the entrance test.

Mysore University PhD Entrance Exam Eligibility:-

One has to secured minimum 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1/Physicaly Challenged candidates) or equivalent grade under grading system, in the Master’s Degree or equivalent exam from the recognized Universities/Institutions.

There is no upper age limit for applying for the Ph.D entrance test.

Exemptions:-

The Following candidates are exempted from the entrance exam and they can apply for Provisional Registration by consulting a guide in the subject of the interest after verifying the eligibility.

(a) One who has qualified for UGC/CSIR (JRF) Fellowships
OR
Qualified for Lecturership through UGC/CS IR NET Exam/ K-SET/ GATE
OR
Government/Aided College Teachers under FIP.

(b) One who has completed M.Phil course provided the M. Phil course was through an Entrance Exam.

(c) Foreign Nationals with Indian/Foreign Degrees.


Mysore University PhD Entrance Exam Pattern:-

1. One question paper per subject with one hundred questions (100) with four choices out of which one is the correct answer.
2. Maximum marks are 100 and the time available for answering questions is 2 hours only.

Mysore University PhD Entrance Exam Application Form / Registration:-

Apply online at website, fill in the application online after registration, pay the application fee, upload scanned copy of bank challan and submit completed application form online only

Application fee per paper:-

a) General merit candidates: Rs.2000/-
b) SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates: Rs.750/-
