The School of Life Sciences has been established in University of Hyderabad with an emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and research in modern biology.

The School consists of four Departments:


1) Department of Biochemistry
2) Department of Plant Sciences
3) Department of Animal Biology
4) Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics

Each of the three departments offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes of study.

The selection is based on their performance in the written examinations conducted at the National level.
