The Administrative Services Pre Entrance Training Centre (APTC) under University of Rajasthan was set up by the University in 1978 and it has been given the status of an Independent Centre in 1999.

It has been organising Administrative and Subordinate Services on Self-financing basis. UGC has also recognized to it as a supporting centre for uplifting the knowledge of SC, ST. OBC, and Minority Community students during 101h & I 11h Plan by providing for RAS, ICS, RJS, NET/SLET, Bank P.O., Spoken English, and other competitive examinations.

It invites well-known academicians, bureaucrats, and experts in the respective fields, who impart keen training to the students. It imparts rigorous training for competition exam and specialized for grooming the candidates for facing/developing them for interviews through arranging mock interviews, group discussions and personality development by eminent internal & external faculty.

The past performance in terms of selection of the students enrolled in it has been good as almost 1/3 of such students have been getting selected in the competitive examinations. The UPSC results have rated the University of Rajasthan among top institutions, where from the candidates are selected.


Mission
It plays an important role of a facilitator by inviting eminent academicians, bureaucrats, and experts in their respective fields, who impart training to the candidates aspiring for competitive examinations, written as well as interviews.


Vision

-Grooming of the students for competitive exams through providing coaching for General Studies and Optional Papers as per syllabus, with personality development, and communication skills.
-To make the students presentable for their career by personality development, and by improving their communication skills, etc.

Regular Programmes

1. Pre-administrative training through coaching for CSA1 (ICS-Pre) and RAS-Pre. & RAS (Main) in month of January and July every year or vacancies are advertised

2. RJS and other A& B categories services (Prelim. and Main) exams, whenever the vacancies are advertised by the concerned department i.e. Bank P.O. & Clerical Staff; RPSC St (Police), School Teachers I College Lecturers & SSC Examinations.

3. Coaching Classes for UGC-NET/SLET twice in a year i.e. in month of March and September for both Compulsory and Optional Papers

4. Courses for preparation of various interviews through organizing mock interviews and group discussion etc. time to time.

5. Personality Development Program twice in a year.

6. Spoken English classes for development of communication skill twice in a year.
