Hi buddy here I am looking for info related to UGC NET entrance exam , so will you plz let me know about the same here like key dates and eligibility ??

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cunduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC).

Key dates
Issue of Detailed Notification 1st February 2018
Commencement of online application form 6th March 2018
Image correction start 23rd March 2018
Last date to submit the form 12th April 2018 (Extended)
Last date of fee submission 13th April 2018 (Extended)
Corrections in particulars of application form 25th April to 1st May 2018
Admit Card Availability June 2018
Exam Date 8th July 2018
Availability of Answer Key & OMR Sheet August 2018
Declaration of Result July 2018

Exam Pattern
Papers: The test will consist of two papers.
Exam Mode: Examination will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates have to mark their responses on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet.
Number of Questions: Total 150 questions will be asked in NET which are divided into 2 papers. Paper-I will have 50 questions and Paper-II will have 100 questions. All questions are compulsory to attempt.
Type of Questions: All the papers will have objective type questions.
Subjects: The Paper-I consists of General Aptitude Questions and the Paper-II contains questions related to the subject selected by candidates.
Medium of Paper: Candidate can choose the paper medium either Hindi or English. Choice for paper medium can be exercised at the time of filling the form.
Exam Duration: Paper-1 will be of 1 hour while Paper-II will be of 2 hours.
Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will carry 2 marks.
Negative Marking: CBSE is not following negative marking scheme in UGC NET.

UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) will be organized by NTA (National Testing Agency) through online CBT mode for Indian Govt. Universities and Colleges.

It is a national level entrance exam is conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of various candidates for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & the Assistant professor or only for Assistant Professor. It is organized in two sessions – June and December session.


UGC NET 2020 Application Dates

June Session December Session
Application form begins 16th March 2020 1st week of September 2020
Last date to submit application form 16th April 2020 Last week of September 2020
Last date to fee submission 17th April 2020 Sep-20
UGC NET exam 15th to 20th June 2020 2nd to 3rd week of Dec 2020


UGC-NET Eligibility Criteria


One must have Master’s degree from a recognized University preferably in subjects like Social Sciences, Humanities, Electronic Sciences, and Computer Science, etc.

One appearing for the final year exam of Post graduation in the year 2020 can also apply.

One should achieve a minimum of 55% of marks in the NET examination.

One with a reservation should have at least 50% of the score in UGC-NET.

One needs to appear for the subject of their qualifying exam only. One, who’s qualifying exam subject remains uncovered in the subject list mention by UGC, are required to appear in a related subject only.


UGC-NET Age Criteria


The minimum eligible age limit is set to 28 years for general category.

A relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates from reserved categories.

No maximum age limit is prescribed for Lectureship or Asst. Professorship.

For Junior Research Fellowship; the maximum age limit will be 30 years as on 1st January 2020.

The LLM Degree holder gets a relaxation of 3 years. For Assistant Professor, there are no age limits prescribed.

For 3rd gender (transgender) candidates, relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for NET is at par with SC/ST and other categories.
