UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) to determines the eligibility of Indian candidates for Assistant Professor or for Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor both. The UGC NET 2018 Exam will conduct on 8th July 2018. UGC NET 2018 Exam Date Issue of Detailed Notification 1st February 2018 Commencement of online application form 6th March 2018 Image correction start 23rd March 2018 Last date to submit the form 12th April 2018 Last date of fee submission 13th April 2018 Corrections in particulars of application form 25th April to 1st May 2018 Admit Card Availability 21st June 2018 Exam Date 8th July 2018 Availability of Answer Key & OMR Sheet August 2018 Declaration of Result July 2018 UGC NET Eligibility Criteria Masters or equivalent degree from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC The qualifying examination must be passed in subjects like Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc. Minimum Marks: The percentage of marks required in qualifying examination is 55% (50% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories). Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Masters degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply Relaxation: Relaxation of 5% marks in qualifying examination shall be given to Ph.D degree holders whose masters level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991. Age Criteria: For Junior Research Fellowship: Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1st January 2018. Relaxation: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, transgender and PwD category candidates. Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience. Candidates possessing LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age. |

Dates are not announced for UGC NET December exam. Last year the UGC NET exam was held on 7th November 2017. Dates for December exam of UGC National Eligibility Test: 08th July 2018 National Eligibility Test is an exam that is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for UGC. It is a national level exam that is conducted in June and December every year. This examination is conducted to select the best candidates who are eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). This examination is conducted every year. A very large number of candidates appear in this examination. To apply for CBSE UGC NET December examination, you must have completed Masters degree with minimum 55% marks. Important dates: Online Application Form Submission 6th March 2018 Last date for Applying Online 12th April 2018 Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank Challan, at any branch of5SYNDICATE/CANARA/ICICI BANK) 13th April 2018 Correction in Particulars of application form on the website 25th April to 5th May, 2018 Uploading of Admit Card 3rd week of June 2018 Date of Examination 08th July 2018 Eligibility Criteria: Posts Offered: Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Age Limit: For the post of Junior Research Fellowship, the candidates age should be between 21 and 28 years. For the post of Lecturership, candidates have not age limit. Qualification: The candidates applying for the NET exam should have a Masters degree and should have at least 55% marks in any stream from a recognized University. For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks should be 50%. |
