The Master of Business Administration with an Engineering Technology Emphasis is offered by the Emmett and Miriam McCoy College of Business Administration and the Department of Engineering & Technology. Master of Business Administration MBA The Emmett and Miriam McCoy College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB, The International Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business. Admission - Admission to the degree program is competitive and designed to identify applicants who have the ability, interest and maturity to manage the rigors of the program as well as potential for future professional growth. All applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university. The Admissions Committee will carefully consider all aspects of an applicants professional and academic background. The Admissions Committee will be looking for applicants with strong academic performance throughout their undergraduate experience and competitive scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). All international applicants (non-U.S. citizens) must fulfill the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) requirement as identified in the Admission Documents section of the Graduate Catalog. Fluency in reading, speaking and writing English is expected of all accepted students. Requirements- The degree consists of three requirements: background courses, core graduate business and technology courses, and graduate technology electives. Students must satisfy 15 semester hours of background courses, 27 hours of graduate-level core courses, and nine hours of elective courses. An in-depth analysis of a case designed to integrate the MBA core areas is required and satisfies the university's requirement for a comprehensive examination. The following courses comprise the background: accounting business law economics finance statistics These courses may be taken at any accredited, four-year college or university. All students must complete 27 hours of graduate-level core courses. The following courses comprise the core: CIS 5318 Information Technology in the Digital Economy MGT 5314 Organizational Behavior and Theory TECH 5315 Engineering Economics Analysis MKT 5321 Marketing Management TECH 5364 Statistical Applications in Manufacturing Process Control QMST 5334 Advanced Statistical Methods for Business ACC 5361 Financial and Managerial Reporting and Analysis FIN 5387 Managerial Finance MGT 5313 Administrative Policy Elective Courses Degree plans include nine hours of graduate-level electives.
