Institute of Technology, Nirma University, earlier known as Nirma Institute of Technology, started in 1995 by Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF), was the first self-financed engineering college in Gujarat. Now it is a leading hub of education, offering multidisciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in engineering.

The seats will be filled in by following manner:
50% Seats (ACPC, GoG):- 50% seat of the total intake will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC, GoG).
These are filled-in by one who has passed the qualifying exam from the schools located in the State of Gujarat including Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

35% All India Seats:- 35% (All India) seat of the total seats will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University. These are filled from one who has passed the qualifying exam from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared for JEE (Main) examination.
15% NRI / NRI sponsored Seats:- 15% NRI seats will be filled-in by Institute of Technology, Nirma University.

NRI seats will be filled in by one who has passed the qualifying exam abroad and is exempted from appearing in JEE (Main) or one who has passed qualifying exam from the school located in India (having NRI status) have to appear in JEE (Main) examination.
NRI sponsored seats will be filled by one who has passed the Qualifying Exam from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State). Merit list for these seats shall be based on the All India Rank of JEE (Main).

Eligibility (35% All India Seats & 15% NRI Seats):
One should have appeared JEE (Main) (For 35% All India Seats and NRI Sponsored Category).

One should have passed Std. 12 (Science Stream) with minimum 45% in 3 subjects viz 2 compulsory subjects i.e. Physics and Mathematics and any one of optional subjects i.e. (Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects prescribed by respective boards) from single board.
