Tamilnadu Public Service Commission VAO had published the notification regarding the Recruitment for the following posts given below .

Online Application form for VAO Exam 2014 : 17th, March 2014
Last Date to Apply for VAO Exam : 15th April, 2014
Date of VAO Exam 2014 : June 14th, 2014 ( Sunday )
VAO Hall ticket 2014 from June 4th onwards , last date is june 13th .

Topics for Objective Type
1. The role, functions duties and responsibilities of a Village Administrative Officer in
VILLAGE and REVENUE ADMINISTRATION.
[Questions may be on topics including VAOs role in assisting the police, reporting
birth and death, implementing various schemes of the Government,
recommending / furnishing inputs for income, Community, Destitute Widow,
Marital Status, Patta and other adhoc and miscellaneous certificates]
2. Records of revenue administration dealt with or handled by the VAO including ‘A’
Register, Patta, Chitta Adangal etc.
3. Accounts maintained and furnished by the VAO at the end of every FASLI YEAR.
4. Basic Principles / Information relating to classification of lands.
5. Basic information on rates of assessment and annual revenue collection
6. Basic information on forms of irrigation of land including those belonging to the
Government

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC ) invites the applications for the post of Village Administrative Office.

TNPSC VAO exam Eligibility-

Passed S.S.L.C (Matriculation - 10th Class) Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. Candidates should possess knowledge of Tamil.

Age Limit-

Age must be between 21 Years to 30 Years for Others General.
40 Years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Castes.

Tentative Dates-

Opening date for registration: March 17, 2014
Closing date for registration: April 15, 2014
Last date for payment of fee: April 17, 2014
Date of examination: June 14, 2014 (10.00 am to 01 pm)

Examination Fee-

Rs.125/- (Examination Fee Rs.75/- + Cost of Application Rs.50/-).
Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards Application Cost.
Those who have registered in the one time registration system and paid the registration fee of Rs.50/-.
