The Tamil Nadu Open University was established by an Act (No.27 of 2002) of the Legislative Assembly of the Government of Tamil Nadu to benefit those who have been deprived of and/or denied the access to higher education especially destitute, physically challenged, working men and women, economically weaker sections of the society,

Duration :

The B.Ed. Programme (Distance mode) is of 2 years; however, the student teacher is permitted to complete within a maximum period of 5 years, after the enrolment
Medium : The medium of instruction for B.Ed. (Distance Mode) is Tamil and English

Admission Detials :
The candidates should have passed the UG degree examination in 11+1+3 or 10+2+3 stream;

Minimum Marks

OC - 50%
BC/BCM - 45%
MBC/DNC - 43%
SC/ST/SCA - 40%

Fees for the Course : The Program fee is Rs 32,000
