It will help you certainly in solving aptitude problems. • Start from’ A’ i.e basic: See There is no particular syllabus that you can strictly follow, in general. But if a particular test or exam gives you details of the topics included, then plz stick to that. And also you should start these topics from the very basic. So don’t try to climb stairs at once. Go step by step. • Concentrate on CONCEPT and fundamentals: The basic concepts of the topics involved should be absolutely clear. • Take a systematic and symmetric approach: First try to solve the questions topic wise and later attempt an entire paper. It will give you an idea of about how to put a certain formula in a certain set of condition. • Practice a lot: The key mantra to success is extensive practice and speed. So Practice a lot to acquire speed. Look in the silly mistakes committed earlier and try to improve them. Solve previous year's papers and also model papers of these exams. This will help acquaint with pattern and structure of questions set. • Memorise important formulas, theorems and tables: • Part marking: Many exams on Quantitative Aptitude have part marking scheme. So even if you know that the final answer is wrong, do not cancel the whole problem as you can get part marking for the correct portion. • .Mark strong and weak sections: • Read the questions carefully: Always try to know the hidden meaning of question .There may be time when you will find certain questions that are very easy to solve. But this is not so. These are tempting type of question which will push you to gor a wrong answer. So always Read the questions carefully so that you understand it properly before answering. A slight misinterpretation of the question will give you a negative mark. • Quick Glance before solving : Give a quick glance to the exam paper first. First take up the questions which you find comfortable and easy for you to solve as this will give you the much needed confidence boost to you and positive energy and then move on with the rest of the paper. • Know different types of questions: have knowledge of all types of question that can be asked in exam. Never practice a particular set of question for long. Try to cover all types of question first, then go for practicing. • Negative marking: When negative marking is there never attempt too many questions on guesswork. Always apply the process of elimination (POE) . Try to eliminate as many option as you could And Try To Reach A 50: 50 State. Then Go For Guessing • Time is essential: Never waste time if you get stuck in solving a particular question. Move on to the other questions and later if time permits try the ones you have left earlier.
