IES- Indian Engineering Service Exam is a paper-pen based, four-part government service examination directed by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India.

Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination
i. Civil Engineering
ii. Mechanical Engineering
iii. Electrical Engineering
iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:-
Aspirants aged between 21 and 30 years.

Academic Qualification:-
B.E./B.Tech or passed sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India)

IES Paper Pattern
General Ability Test (Part A: General English) and (Part B: General Studies) of Duration 2 hours and maximum 200
Objective Paper I of Duration 2 hours and maximum 200
Objective Paper II of Duration 2 hours and maximum 200
Conventional Paper I of Duration 3 hours and maximum 200
Conventional Paper II of Duration 3 hours and maximum 200
Personality Test of 200 Marks
