TET in WB

Sir I want to apply for the West Bengal Teacher's Eligibility Test but I have no idea about the exam so please can you give me the eligibility an syllabus of TET in WB?

Eligibility of WB TET

The candidate seeking to take admission in TET in must have the eligibility given below.

10+2 or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 2 year diploma in elementary education. Or
B.ed degree

Syllabus

Child development and pedagogy
Language 1 (the medium of instruction)
Language 2 (chosen from a list other then language 1)

Government of West Bengal conducts West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test (WB TET)

Eligibility to attempt the exam:-

Candidate must be between 18 to 40 years of age.

For I to V –
Candidates must have passed in Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks.

Those appearing for final year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ Diploma in Education in Special Education is also eligible
Or
Candidates with BA / B.Sc with at least 50% marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.

For VI to VIII –

Candidate must have passed B.A. / B.Sc and those who are appear in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and

Passed in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50% in BA or B.Sc

Paper I:-


• Child Development and Pedagogy
• Language-I (Malayalam/ Kannada/ Tamil)
• Language-II (English/ Arabic)
• Mathematics
• Environment Studies

Paper II:-

• Child Development and Pedagogy
• Language-I
• Language-II

(a) Science & Mathematics
(b) Social Studies
