Re: TET Qualification In UP Following is eligibility candidate must have to apply for UPTET exam: For Class I to V: Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks. Those appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education Or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Or 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply. For Class VI to VIII: Applicants having B.A. / B.Sc and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks appearing in B.Ed Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc are eligible for UPTET. UPTET Application Form: Rs. 500/- for General and OBC Candidates Rs. 250/- for SC/ST Candidates NIL for Physically Handicapped Candidates UPTET Exam Pattern & Scheme: UPTET consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs 1 marks totaling for 150 marks. Following are the details of question papers: Paper I: To become teachers for classes I-V in Uttar Pradesh primary school. Paper II: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Uttar Pradesh upper primary school. Paper I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers. |

The Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic education Board for recruitment of candidates under the Primary & Secondary level Teachers for the government schools in Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility for UPTET - Candidate must have minimum 18 years of age. For I to V – BTC, D.Ed, NTT, 2 year BTC Urdu, graduate degree or minimum bachelor degree of elementary education. For VI to VIII – Graduate degree with D.Ed having minimum 45% marks or appearing in B.Ed with 50% marks or have a four year special education diploma with 50% marks. Age Criteria: There is no separate age criterion for the UP TET exam specified as such. UPTET Syllabus Topics involved in Paper I and Paper II are as follows: Paper I:- • Child Development and Pedagogy • Language-I (Malayalam/ Kannada/ Tamil) • Language-II (English/ Arabic) • Mathematics • Environment Studies Paper II:- • Child Development and Pedagogy • Language-I • Language-II (a) Science & Mathematics (b) Social Studies Paper Pattern UPTET contains 2 Multiple Choice Question type papers. • Paper I for class I to V • Paper II for class VI to VIII Each paper will consist of 150 MCQ’s and each question carries 1 mark.
