The Government of Assam, Department of School Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) conducts Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Assam.

Secondary Education Department, Assam Government has published a notification for conducting Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Exam for the recruitment of 1618 Graduate Teacher (Hindi & Sanskrit) vacanices in Secondary Schools.

Educational Qualification:

Hindi Teacher:

Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university
or
B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T/ B. Ed. degree from any recognized University/ Institutions

Sanskrit Teacher:

Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University
or
B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University/ Institutions for S.No- 2.

Age Limit:

Candidate’s age should not be above 38 years

Age relaxation is applicable upto 5 years for SC/ ST candidates.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on test and interview.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 400/-.
