Coimbatore Law College is administered by Tamil Nadu's Department of Legal Studies, and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. It is situated in the foothills of Marudamalai, 10 km away from the city. It was established in 1979.
It offers courses at UG and PG level.
U.G. Courses:
5 Year – B.A., B.L. Degree Course
3 Year – B.L. Degree Course

P.G. Courses:
2 - Year Full Time M.L. Degree Course (Business Law)

Eligibility criteria:

1. For 3 year LLB, candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognised university.
2. For 5 year program, candidate must be 12th pass with minimum 50% marks from a recognised board.
3. For PG programs, candidate must have done LLB from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks.

There will be relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST categories.

The Government Law College, Coimbatore is one of six government law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu, India


It provide LLB in two format

5 year LLB program

3 year LLB program


Here I am giving you the eligibility and fee structure of both the program

3 year LLB Program


Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination under 10+2 pattern with not less than 45% of marks which is recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu, are eligible for admission.

For S.C./S.T. candidates concession of 5% marks in the minimum of marks required.


5 year LLB Program

Candidates who have passed a three year Degree Examination of Universities in
Tamil Nadu and Such degree awarded by Member Universities of Association of
Indian Universities, New Delhi for purpose of mutual recognition on reciprocal basis,
after 10+2+3+ or 11+1+3 pattern and also recognized by Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar
Law University alone are eligible for admission to B.L. (3 years) Degree Course.


Admission to 3 Year (B.L. ) / 5 Year (B.A. B.L.) Degree Course is based on Academic Merit through counseling.
