The Tata Memorial Hospital was initially commissioned by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust on 28 February 1941 as a center with enduring value and a mission for concern for the Indian people.

The Tata Memorial Hospital and Cancer Research Institute merged as the two arms of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in 1966 as a classic example of private philanthropy augmented by Government support with a mandate for Service, Education & Research in Cancer.

Admission Process

For Medical Degrees

Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian nationals
MBBS passed from any recognised University

Other mandatory requirements
It is mandatory to all registered PG Students to submit bond for the period of one year to serve at Tata Memorial Hospital after completion of PG Course.


For Non medial / biomedical or scientific Degrees
Eligibility criteria: Candidates fulfilling following eligibility criteria can apply.

Nursing Course

B.Sc.(Nursing), and / or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from any recognized university with 1yr experience of Nursing in a hospital/Community health setting
M.SC ( Clinical Research) course

B.Sc. in any discipline or MBBS


Super Specialty in Medicine Degrees

Eligibility criteria:

Only Indian nationals
MS/MD from any recognized University in India, preferably with experience in subject applied.
