Can I take admission in MBBS Course through TANCET Entrance Test? Tell me about eligibility required for MBBS admissions through TANCET Entrance Test?

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted for admission in MBA / MCA / M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Plan./ M.Arch. Courses.

This Test is not conducted for admission in MBBS Course.

Eligibility for TANCET:

For MBA: Having minimum 50% marks in Graduation

(a) 10+2+3 years pattern
(or)
(b) 10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern
(or)
(c) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm.
(or)
(d) (i) 10+2+AMIE*
(or)
(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*

For MCA: Having minimum 50% marks in Graduation

(a) 10+2+3/4 years Pattern
(or)
(b) 10+3 years diploma + 3 years Pattern
(c) (i) 10+2+AMIE*
(or)
(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE*

For M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch./M.Plan: Having minimum 50% marks in Graduation

(i) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch.
(or)
(ii) B.Pharm.
(or)
(iii) Masters Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed.
OR
(i) 10+2+AMIE*
(or)
(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*
Application Fee:
Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC /SCA /ST candidates)

Test Duration: 2 Hours

Total Questions: 100 for MBA and MCA
Total Marks: 100 for MBA and MCA
Negative Marking: 1/3
