SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis International University, Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programmes. The SNAP exam will be on 20th December 2015. The SNAP for following courses: Master of Business Administration (MBA) M. Sc. (CA): Master of Science (Computer Applications) Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Communication Management Master of Mass Communication (MMC) Masters of Business Administration – International Business [MBA-(IB)] Exam pattern; The test consists of 150 objective type questions for duration of two hours (120 Minutes). The testfollows an MCQ format wherein each question lists 4 options out of which a student has to select the right answer. ¼ marks (25%) are deducted for every wrong answer. Sections are: General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Ability General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Business Scenario Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency Analytical and Logical Reasoning Syllabus: QUANTITATIVE: Geometry (Lines, Angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone, etc.) Ratios and Proportion, Percentages, In-equations Quadratic and linear equations Algebra, Profit & Loss, Averages, Partnership, Time-Speed-Distance, Work and time, Number system, HCF &LCM, Geometric Progression, Arithmetic progression, Arithmetic mean, Geometric mean, Harmonic mean, Median, Mode, Number Base System, BODMAS, Mensuration, Alligation& Mixtures, Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Set Theory, Venn Diagram, Installment Payments, Clocks, Probability, Permutations & Combinations, Trigonometry, Vectors, Binomial Expansion, Co-ordinate geometry, Logarithm, Calendar, Maxima & Minima Progression, Surds & Indices, Complex numbers, Etc. DI AND REASONING: Data Interpretation based on text, graphs and tables. Graphs can be Column graphs, Bar Graphs, Line charts, Pie Chart, Graphs representing Area, Venn diagram, etc. Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, Identifying valid inferences , Identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements. Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree - identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding , Sequencing , Identifying next number in series, Etc. ENGLISH: Comprehension of passage (Poems can also come) Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Contextual usage, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill In the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Jumbled paragraphs (6 sentences with first and last fixed), Sentence Correction, Foreign language words used in English, Sentence completion, Sentence correction, Odd man out, Idioms, One word substitution, Different usage of same word, Etc. GK/GA/BA: Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events Famous award and prizes World Records Books and authors Science, History, Geography, International organizations Important quotations Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics, Etc. |

The syllabus for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) is as follows: SNAP Syllabus General English Analogy Antonyms - Synonyms Comprehension passages – prose and poetry Fill In the Blanks Idioms and phrases Jumbled paragraphs –up to 6 or more sentences – first and the last sentence are correct Odd man out One word substitution Sentence completion Sentence correction Syllogisms Verbal Reasoning Quantitative Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Algebra Averages Binomial Theorem Complex numbers Co-ordinate geometry Equations - Linear & Quadratic HCF & LCM In-equations Interest - Simple & Compound Logarithm Mean – Arithmetic & Geometric Mixtures and Allegations Percentages Permutations & Combinations Progression - Arithmetic & Geometric Probability Profit & Loss Ratios and Proportion Set Theory Speed, Time and Distance Trigonometry Vectors Analytical & Logical Reasoning Assertion and Reasons Assumption-Premise-Conclusion Binary Logic Blood Relations Coding and Decoding Clocks and Calendars Critical Reasoning Data Interpretation – text and bar graphs, pie charts and tables Identifying next number in series Identifying Strong and Weak arguments Identifying valid inferences Puzzles Seating Arrangement Sequencing Statements and Assumptions Symbol Based problems Visual reasoning Test Pattern The type of exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). These subjects include General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, Current affairs. Mainly, the time allocated for the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). Also, there are 25% negative marks for each wrong answer. |
