[B]Winter program 2016 in Rome and Florence[/B]

About the Program

SBU offers students the opportunity to study for three weeks in Rome.

The curriculum offers students an understanding of Italian history, politics, and culture.

Course of Study
Participants will register for a total of 4 credits.

All participants following the Stony Brook Curriculum (SBC) will fulfill GLO and EXP+ in addition to requirement(s) fulfilled by their coursework.

Participants will choose one of the following courses:

HUI 236 The Italian-American Scene (DEC K, SBC: HUM, USA) - 3 credits

HUI 331 Italian Literature (DEC G, SBC: HFA+) - 3 credits

HUI 392 Italian-American Studies in the Social and Behavioral Sciences (DEC F, SBC: SBS+) - 3 credits

HUI 216 Italian Civilization Through the Ages (DEC I) -3 credits

ANT 311 Immersion in Another Culture (DEC J, SBC: SBS+) -3 credits

[B]Compulsory subject[/B]

All students will register for the following:

HUI 447 Directed Readings in Italian Studies - 1 credit
