To become an excise inspector you have to clear an entrance test conducted for the recruitment of excise inspectors. Here are the details of it: Eligibility: The applicant should hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent. Age limit: Applicant must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination. Physical requirements: Height - 157.5 cms Chest - 81 cms (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms (Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Kumaon Region, Nagaland Tribes and members of ST) Physical Test: Walking - 1600 metres in 15 minutes, Cycling - 8 Km in 30 minutes Sample paper for prepration of exam: 1.
