Stanford University, officially Leland Stanford Junior University, is a private research university in Stanford, California, and one of the world's most prestigious institutions It was founded on November 11, 1885 The Master of Science (MS) degree program in Electrical Engineering is a course-based program that provides advanced preparation for professional practice or for teaching at the junior college level. Completion of the program requires 45 units of coursework, and it takes 1.5 to 3 years on average for students to complete the program. The department does not prescribe specific courses to be taken but it does provide guidelines for acceptable programs. Each student, with the help of a faculty advisor, prepares an individual program of study. There is no thesis requirement. Eligibility Requirements -Applicants must hold, or expect to hold before enrollment at Stanford, a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association, or; -Applicants from institutions outside the U.S. must hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing Full-Time Application Deadline Autumn 2016-2017: December 8, 2015 (11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time) Admissions Application Requirements 1.
