The Department of Food & Supplies, West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of 398 Laboratory Assistant & Assistant Chemist vacancies.

Total No. of Posts: 398

Name of the Post:

1. Laboratory Assistant: 362 Posts
2. Assistant Chemist: 36 Posts

Age Limit:

Candidates age limit should be between 18-39 years

Age relaxation is applicable to 05 years for SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal and 03 years for BC-A/ BC-B candidates of West Bengal.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have Science Graduate with Chemistry from an Indian University or its equivalent and ability to read, write and speak in Bengali for Post No. 01

B.Sc with Chemistry as one of the subject of an Indian University or its equivalent with two years practical experience in the matter of chemical analysis of food articles in any laboratory recognized by Government and ability to read, write and speak in Bengali for Post No. 02.

Not applicable to those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on verification of documents.

Application Fee:

Candidates should pay Rs. 220/- (Rs. 200/- for Examination Fee + Rs. 20/- for Processing Fee) for All categories

Rs. 20/- (Rs. 20/- for Processing Fee) for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates

Pay the fees by online through payment gateway using Debit Cards/ Credits Cards/ Net banking of any bank will be charged an additional amount of Rs. 5/- only for utilizing payment gateway service.

Last Date to Apply Online: 31-05-2017 up to 04:00 P.M.
