SSC Stenographer Job Profile

Can you tell me about the job profile of SSC or Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C&D post as I want to know it before applying for the post? Also tell me about the starting salary of the SSC or Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C&D post?

Here we providing you job profile of stenographer as follows

1) Takes dictation in shorthand of correspondence, reports, and other matter, and operates typewriter to transcribe dictated material.

2) Performs variety of clerical duties.

3) May perform stenographic duties in professional office and be designated Legal Stenographer; Medical Stenographer; Technical Stenographer.

4) May take dictation in foreign language and be known as Foreign-Language Stenographer.

5) May be designated according to department in which employed as Police Stenographer.

6) May work for public stenographic service and be designated Public Stenographer.

eligibility

The candidates must have passed 10+2 from any recognized colleges with good academic records.

Age Limitation:

• The candidate’s age must be between 18 years to 27 years

• The Reserved candidates will get the benefit of age relaxation.


Exam Paper Pattern

The Paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions only.

The questions except in Part III will be set both in English & Hindi
•Part I- General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions) - 50 marks

•Part II- General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks

•Part III - English Language and Comprehension (100 questions) - 100 marks

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
