Hello, here I am providing you the details of the skill test done by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) as under: Skill test: The candidates who clear written test will be called to attempt the skill test. Those who opted for Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts will have to undergo a skill test and candidates applied for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts will undergo a typing test. Key depressions / strokes are the number of keys candidate presses in the given time. In 15 minutes time, candidates have to press 2000-2200 keys (right words only). SSC CHSL Typing Test Pattern: Typing Test will be conducted only in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the Examination will have to indicate his/her choice/option for Typing Test Medium in the Application Form. Usually, a candidate’s ability to work on computers is gauged on three basic computer applications. So there are three modules each for 15 minutes. Module 1 – Test on Microsoft Word Module 2 – Test on Microsoft Excel Module 3 – Test on Microsoft Powerpoint SSC LDC Typing Test Speed & WPM Required The Typing test will be taken on computer. Typing test will be qualifying in the nature and will be conducted only in English or in Hindi. English Typing @ 35 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes) (30 minutes for VH candidates). Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes) (30 minutes for VH candidates). (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. corresponds to 10500 Key Depressions Per Hour/ 9000Key Depressions Per Hour on an average of 5 Key Depressions for each word. |
