To encourage and support students of ideal talent, several scholarship are instituted by SRM University to recognize excellence in academic, sports and deserving candidates. It is the most prestigious scholarship with full fee waiver of tuition, hostel, mess, plus stipend Rs 1,000 per month. It is offered to:

Top 100 rankers in B. Tech Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE)
Top State rankers in school final
Top rankers in JEE
Top rankers in each district of Tamilnadu
Exemplary Sports persons at National and International level

University Scholarship Schemes

Merit Scholarship
One who has secured 95% and above in PCM or PCB in the qualifying exams and also ranked amongst the top 10000 in SRMJEEE are eligible to apply for it having a value of up to 50% of tuition fee waiver in the branch they are eligible for at the time of counselling.

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (Socio - economic disdained)
Scholarship, 25% to 100% tuition fee waiver, is offered to one who is economically challenged based on their performance in the qualifying exam.

Scholarship for Minority Community
Scholarship, 25% to 100% tuition fee waiver, is offered to one of minority community based on their performance of students in the qualifying exam.

Scholarship for Physically challenged/Differently-abled
Scholarship with full tuition fee waivered is offered to one who is physically challenged/differently abled.

Scholarship for Special Merits
Scholarship with tuition fee waivered up to 100% is offered to one possessing exemplary skills in literary debating, fine arts and others.
