Sri Ramachandra University (SRU), is a deemed university declared under Section 3 of the UGC at 1956, in Porur, Chennai, India. It was founded by Sri Ramachandra Education & Health Trust on September 11, 1985.

SRU PhD Regulations

These Regulations shall be called "The Regulations For The Degree Of Doctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Of Sri Ramachandra University Porur, Chennai-600116".

These revised Regulations shall come into force with effect from January 2014

Eligibility:

Full Time Candidates (Faculty Of Medicine)

For registration for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicine , Surgery and their specializations must possess any one of the following educational qualifications or any other qualification by recognized University as equivalent thereto:

Degree of Doctor of Medicine (D.M.);
Degree of Master of Chirurgie (M.Ch.);
Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.);
Degree of Master of Surgery (M.S.);
Postgraduate Diploma in the Faculty of Medicine and Diplomate of National Board of Examinations of India

Full Time Candidates (Non-Medical Disciplines)

Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences & Technology and Management Sciences.

For registration for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) must possess any one of the following educational qualifications
or any other equivalent qualification from recognized University as equivalent thereto:

Degree of Master of Science in the Faculty of Medicine (M.Sc. - Non-medical - 3 years course);

Master's Degree in the Faculties including Dentistry/ Pharmacy/ Nursing/ Allied Health Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences & Technology/ Management/ Physiotherapy
