Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra is accredited with NABL for Pathology Section. This college is the first hospital in Kolkata to obtain ISO 9001-2008. SRI AUROBINDO SEVA KENDRA SCHOOL OF NURSING is recognized by Govt. of West Bengal, West Bengal Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council (New Delhi - 110002 ). Course: “Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery” – (GNM) It is a regular and Residential Training Course. The session starts from 1st September Every Year. Seats Available: 25 (Twenty five only). Duration GNM Training period is - 3 years and 6 months. Eligibility Gender : Only female candidates. Age limit : Between 17 to 27 years within 1st September of the prevalent year. Educational Qualification : Higher Secondary (10+2) passed or its Equivalent. 40% marks in Compulsory subjects in any stream, preferably science. Language : Able to read, write and Speak in Bengali and English. Residential Certificate : Candidate should be a Citizen of India & a resident of West Bengal at least for last 5 (five) years uninterruptedly, preceding the date of application for admission to the nursing school. The Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery – (GNM) course offered by School of Nursing, Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra is a regular and Residential Training Course. Its syllabus is in accordance with the Syllabus and Regulations laid down by the Indian Nursing Council. Eligibility Gender : Only female candidates Age limit Between 17 to 27 years as on 1st January of the prevalent year. Educational Qualification Higher Secondary (10+2) passed or its equivalent. 40% marks in Compulsory subjects in any stream. Language Able to read, write and Speak in Bengali and English. Residential Certificate One should be a Citizen of India & a permanent resident of West Bengal. Process of Selection and Admission i. One should apply addressing to the Principal of SASK School of Nursing ii. All Application Forms duly filled in along with 3 Passport Size photographs and attested photocopies of all testimonials should reach the office. iii. Selection will be strictly on the Merit basis. iv. Medical Fitness: a. One should be medically fit. The medical exam on admission has to be done from: b. Hepatitis- B inoculation is compulsory prior to admission. c. In case, vaccination is completed, a certificate from concerned Medical Officer has to be submitted along with the application. d. The expenses for both Medical Check Up, before admission, and the Annual Health check- up after admission, during the training period have to be borne by the Candidate. Medical Check-up - Rs. 1000.00 Annual Health Check-up - Rs. 500.00 e. During the training period, in case of any unexpected health problem requiring hospitalization or surgical intervention, the presence of either of the parents / local guardian is mandatory.
