Indian Air Force Squadron Leader pay scale or salary criteria & other details are as given below:

Squadron Leader

A Squadron Leader of Indian Air Force gets around 6600 rupees as grade pay.
Pay band of Sqn Ldr is same as Flying Officer and Flt Lt.
Also MSP received by Squadron Leader is 6000 rupees.

Pay in Pay Band ( Common to all Branches ) - Rs 15,600 Per Month ( The officer will be placed in PB 3 - 15600-39100 )
Grade Pay :- Rs 5400 PM
Military Service Pay :- Rs 6000 PM
Dearness Allowances @ 58 Percent :- Rs 15660 PM
Kit Maintenance Allowance :- Rs 500 PM
Transport Allowance :- Rs 3200 + DA ( major cities) / 1600 + DA ( Other cities)
In addition the following allowances are admissible
Flying Allowance @ Rs 11250 PM to Flying Branch Officers.
Technical Allowance @ Rs 2500 PM to Technical Branch Officers

Other eligibility criteria:

In order to become a squadron leader in Indian Air force, you have to join it on the rank of flying officer.

You can join IAF after graduation through-

1) CDSE- grants permanent commission

2) SSC- grant short service commission of 14 years

Pay in Pay Band(PPB)= 15600-39100

Grade Pay(GP)= 6600

Basic = PPB+ GP= 22,200

DA= 100% (present rate)= 22000*100%=22000.

+6000(military service pay)

+Flying Allowance 11,250 or Technical Allowance 2500 or NIL(for others)
Kit Maintenance Allowance :- 500 PM

Minimum gross salary per month

= 15600+6600+22,200+22000+6000+500

=72,900 INR (for non flying)

=75,400 INR (for technical)

=84,150 INR (for flying)
